  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver #39;s licence and able to upgrade to class 3 with air brake endorsement within 6 months.
  • Must be available to work extended hours, weekends and statutory holidays.
  • This position is subject to call-outs and working under adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all of the required job duties, lifting/carrying 0-25kg, walking on rough terrain, sitting and standing for prolonged periods, climbing stairs and ladders, crouching, kneeling, bending, twisting, operating vehicles and wearing personal equipment.
  • Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes of a call-out.
Qualifications:Essential:
  • Experience performing manual duties.
  • Experience operating hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety, Healthamp; Risk Management.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience operating light and/or heavy duty equipment.
  • Experience servicing and/or making minor repairs to vehicles and equipment.
Duties:Maintenance Workers (MW #39;s) report to the Area Works Supervisor and receive lead hand direction from the Assistant Works Supervisor.
