Job Description

Mō te tūnga | About the role The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of specified digital projects including project governance ownership. Ensuring that a solution is delivered that meets the requirements of our key stakeholders and we are ready to transform our customer platform IRIS Next Generation. This work requires a holistic people- centered approach that considers technology an enabler as opposed to the default solution. Alongside ‘doing the doing’ this role balances developing capability of others and building/developing best practice at TRC. Most importantly this role is about making a positive difference for our people and our community This is a newly created position and is a two year fixed term role. If you have dealt with technical projects and your focus is helping people we want to hear from you! We like to set people up for success so you’ll be a leading applicant if you have: * A growth mindset * Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Information Technology or Computer Science, a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is highly desired * Project Management - Prince2, PMP or equivalent certification will be highly regarded * 2 + years’ experience with projectsamp; project management * Knowledge of Change Management techniques and methodologies (ADKAR, SCARF) would be advantageous What’s on offer Taranaki Regional Council is a fantastic place to work!
