Join us and let #39;s get started.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an Civil Design Technologist for a full-time position based in Edmonton, AB.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:- Preparation of drawings for the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of civil infrastructure projects such as underground pipe systems, commercial and industrial site grading, ditches, culverts and stormwater management facilities.- Prepare accurate quantities for the purpose of tendering and cost estimates- Incorporate field surveys and topographical information for drawing development, site reviews, and as recorded drawings.- Work closely with Engineers, Technologists and Project Managers in the preparation of document and drawing packages, report figures, design concepts, technical specifications and calculations.- 3D modelling of project features and grading designs- Coordination with other team members in related operations- Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures.- Use software and technologies to develop effective designs.- Review, critique, correct and improve drawings and drawing production processes as part of a teamQualificationsMinimum requirements:- Diploma from a technical institute in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology- 4+ years of experience in Civil or Municipal Infrastructure Engineering- Extensive Experience with Civil3D, civil grading using Civil 3D- 2+ years experience working with PipeNetworks and CorridorsPreferred requirements:- Ideally 6+ years experience in Civil or Municipal Infrastructure Engineering- Ideally knowledge of importing LiDAR through Autodesk Recap- Experience in Consulting is preferred.- Ambition to gain quality and extensive experience in civil and municipal infrastructure design.- Experience with ArcGIS skills would be considered an asset.- Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the group by being a team player.- Willingness to mentor junior drafting staffAdditional Information- No sponsorship offered for this roleWith infrastructure investment accelerating worldwide, our services are in great demand, and there #39;s never been a better time to be at AECOM!
