Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Canada #39;s environmental marketing team is looking for an experienced Proposal Specialist to assist in winning environmental work. This position can be based in Calgary AB, Mississauga, ON, Markham, ON, or Edmonton, AB.Job Summary:You will collaborate with regional and Business Line (BL) teams on identified priority pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of responses to client solicitations: expression of interests (EOI), request for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-position efforts.In this role, you will be responsible for development and submission of timely, compliant, and persuasive proposals. You must be able to work quickly and independently and be able to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet competing deadlines. Work may occasionally be required in the evenings or weekends to meet deadlines or to coordinate with staff in different time zones.This position requires experience in pursuits, attention to detail, creativity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, solid writing skills, organization, conceptual thinking, and effective decision-making. Work may be performed under the direction of the Environmental business line lead and/or business line staff, but the position will report directly to the Environmental Marketing Team Lead, for the Canada Region Marketing Group.Your primary responsibility is to lead and coordinate the production of proposals and marketing material in response to formal client requests for the Environmental BL proposals.Responsibilities may include - but are not limited to - the following:- Coordinate responses to requests for proposals and expressions of interest, external questionnaires and statements of qualifications. Lead small to medium complexity submissions and assist on complex and strategic high-level submissions.- Facilitate proposal meetings; conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and corporate brand.- Produce documents in MS Office Suite or Adobe Creative Suite which includes InDesign and other applications.- Leads the writing of proposal sections such as executive summaries, past performance sections, management approaches, and resumes/staffing sections for major pursuits.- Coordinate and lays out documents and presentations, and where appropriate complete printing and binding or other final production of projects.- Coordinate input of technical components and write non-technical components- Develop and edit simple graphics- Review and edit proposals- Submit proposals to clients- Develop and manage the pursuit delivery schedule- Support debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.- Support Capture Managers and Project Managers to update and track progress of Salesforce opportunity records.- Participates in the strategy and preparation of presentation and interview materials.- Support the maintenance of marketing information such as resumes and project sheets in the Salesforce system in collaboration with our Knowledge Management/Systems group.- Interface with technical and management staff to develop marketing collateral- Implement and facilitate the proposal marketing process in all pursuits.QualificationsMinimum Requirements :In order to be considered for the position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:- Bachelor #39;s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field + two (2) + years of relevant experience working in Marketing within the consulting engineering industry or professional services marketing.Preferred Qualifications :- Six (6) + years of experience in Proposals Marketing within the consulting engineering industry or professional services preferred.- Proposal support experience, preferably within a professional services firm- Advanced skills in Microsoft applications such as Word and PowerPoint- Excellent written communication skills including writing and editing - ability to communicate easily the required ideas or concept and tailor responses to client specifications- Understanding of graphic design and an eye for communicating content visually - can effectively use our brand guidelines and work with our corporate identity.- Excellent organizational skills will be highly utilized in a dynamic and professional business environment.- Skills in Adobe Creative specifically InDesign- Knowledge of marketing procedures, document and presentation production methods, proposal processes/proposal quality and business development in professional services.- Strong writing and editing skills; attention to detail.- Able to work efficiently and prioritize in a busy and deadline driven work environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.- Salesforce experience is desirableAdditional Information- Relocation is not available for this position- Sponsorship is not available for this position- Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
