Job Description

Oxygen8, https://oxygen8.ca/ designs and manufactures ventilation solutions that provide 100% fresh, filtered outside air to building occupants. Our product lines include high-efficiency energy-recovery, MERV-13 filtration, and integration with Daikin VRV heat-pump technology for heating and cooling.We are hiring a Senior Purchaser to procure materials, goods, and services, optimizing cost, quality, availability and service. This role is based out of our production facility office in Vancouver, BC. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing issues.
  • Research and analyze procurement data and develop alternate sources.
  • Expedite and facilitate the flow of materials to and from various departments.
  • Complete procurement process including RFP, RFQ, placing purchase orders, negotiate cost and delivery lead times.
  • Submit forecasts to suppliers to ensure materials availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier information.
  • Coordinate with the logistics partner for freight management and customs clearance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, potential risks, and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans and analyze data.
  • Resolve material and invoice discrepancies with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Place inventory replenishment/purchase orders and trace, follow-up, and expedite as required.
  • Support with training of the purchasing team.
  • Other duties as required.
Skills and Experience:
  • Commercial/technical education with several years of experience in purchasing for technical product manufacturing.
  • Experience in and practical knowledge of materials handling systems or production planning processes.
  • Experience analyzing inventory requirements using computer systems.
  • Organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel) and ERPs.
  • An understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable would be an asset.
Annual Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 based on experience.Benefits:
