Choice Growers is an Alberta based Licensed Cannabis Producer based in Strathmore, Alberta. We are led by passion, backed by science, and focus our efforts on cultivating craft quality cannabis that is highly potent, exceptionally flavorful, and budget friendly. We are looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Assistant for a full time and (almost) fully work from home position. The selected candidate may be required to attend the facility in Strathmore no more than once per week or less, and therefore must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to Strathmore when required. Otherwise, the position requires a candidate who is capable of working 8 uninterrupted hours per day from home, is self motivated, independent, reliable, and trusted to complete their work remotely. This is a full time position (Monday-Friday) and the candidate must be available from 8am-4pm on the required days. The wage is $17 per hour. This position does not include benefits. The selected Sales Assistant will report directly to the Lead of Sales and Marketing, who will provide insight and direction on work that needs to be completed on a daily basis. *As the Sales Assistant you will be required to: * * Meet daily (virtually) with the Lead of Sales and Marketing * Perform phone calls to retail cannabis stores to inform them about our products and encourage them to purchase * Perform basic data entry tasks in our client management software * Perform a variety of basic administrative tasks *You are the perfect person for this position if you: * * Are comfortable performing cold sales calls * Have a vibrant personality and professional demeanor * Are motivated, independent, reliable, and trustworthy * Work well under pressure * Have a collaborative and team-oriented mentality * Are able to take direction and execute effectively * Are extremely organized and able to manage time effectively * Are goal oriented and optimistic * Have strong communication skills * Have access to a high speed internet connection *Deal breakers: * * Not able to work for 8 uninterrupted hours per day from home * Not available from Mon-Fri * Not available from 8am-4pm MST * Not able to travel to the facility in Strathmore on an as needed basis * Not collaborative or able to take direction and execute independently * Have a shy and reserved personality and don’t take rejection well (you will be making cold sales calls and will likely get hung up on sometimes) *Helpful but not necessary: * * Experience in sales and cold calls * Experience in the recreational cannabis industry * Have a positive personal relationship with cannabis The most important part of the Sales Assistant position is to have a vibrant and positive personality. The main part of the role is cold calling up to 60 retail cannabis stores per day in 4 different provinces to effectively sell our products to them. These calls require someone who can communicate all of the selling points quickly, effectively, professionally, and kindly. A strong tolerance for rejection is helpful as this role is not for the faint of heart. All calls will be recorded and reviewed occasionally for quality purposes. All other areas of the position can be trained such as data entry, administrative roles, sales tactics, and navigating our client management software.
