Job Description

  • PLEASE NOTE THIS JOB IS AT PLANT AT 244071 RANGE ROAD 264, WHEATLAND COUNTY, between Calgary and Strathmore.
  • Package whole grains, oatmeals into retail size bags, by semi automatic weigh filler and sealers.
  • Responsible for safe work procedures and meeting the companys packaging volume objectives and targets on daily basis.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain the production equipment, auxiliary equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and others.
  • Perform scheduled cleaning work of the production equipment, surrounding, and support areas.
  • Production and packaging of all products such as lentils, peas, beans, oatmeals etc.
  • Filling bags with the machines, labeling bags and keeping packing machines in operating conditions, putting bags through an automatic sealer, putting sealed bags in cases and stacking cases on pallets, stacking cases on pallets, picking products for orders, when necessary, cleaning packaging equipment and surrounding areas at end of each operating day, and drive a forklift and pallet jack, as per work requirement.
  • Help the production team to ensure timely production, packaging, and all aspects of production are documented and verify the records in a timely manner.
  • Support production supervisor, manager, and general manager of operations, as needed.
  • Follow all GMP, OHS, and other provincial and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • work 5 days a week, monday through friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
