Job Description

Magnum Cementing Services (Magnum) is an established well cementing service company with a broad operational footprint in North America. From inception to delivery, our clients have come to expect superior communication and top-quality service.Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Recruiter is primarily responsible for working to find and retain the best talent for the organization through performing a full cycle recruitment process. This role will also support the coordination and implementation of human resources practices across the organization to support a high-performance culture at Magnum that emphasizes quality, productivity, and company standards.Job Responsibilities

  • Provide recruitment support by posting jobs, participating in career fairs, screening resumes, conducting phone screens, coordinating interview scheduling, conducting reference and background checks, and creating offer letters
  • Perform full cycle recruitment including creating job postings, managing social media campaigns, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and creating offer letters.
  • Work closely with hiring managers on strategies to find the right talent at the right time based on workforce planning and budgets.
  • Work with and form relationships with management to understand the intricacies of their departments and better understand their hiring needs and job specifications.
  • Schedule, participate in, and / or conduct for applicants at both preliminary and secondary interview phases in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Complete reference checks as required.
  • Support the onboarding process by processing paperwork, scheduling appointments, and orientating employees.
  • Ensure the candidate experience is positive and rewarding.
  • Source and propose external recruitment activities, such as career fairs, marketing campaigns, etc. for approval. Coordinate and participate in approved initiatives.
  • Track and report out on weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics, including headcount, turnover, and recruitment.
  • Maintain all recruitment procedures, policies, tools, and documents to ensure current materials are being utilized and maintained.
  • Utilize and maintain employee-related databases and prepare and analyze reports when required.
  • Regularly review, revise, and classify job descriptions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in ensuring that policies, handbooks, organizational charts, etc. are updated regularly and remain current.
  • Manage company social media sites, ensuring content is professional and mindful of confidential information.
  • Provide backup to the rest of the human resources team when immediate support is required (ex. workplace injuries, complaints, WCB, etc.).
  • Participate in various department initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Other related duties as required.
Qualifications - Required
  • Related or working towards post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development, or a combination of related education and experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous work experience in an office environment.
  • Able to work overtime and travel.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
