We are looking for summer students as Data Collection Technicians to join our team! In this temporary role (May-Aug), you will work in a multidisciplinary environment on reshaping the way telecommunications companies design and deliver their services. This is an excellent opportunity to gain some experience over the summers months before heading back to school in September. We have offices in British Columbia in Burnaby and Victoria and in Alberta. We are currently looking for Data Collection Technicians in BC to work in the Delta region as well as in the Sunshine Coast area.Some of the responsibilities include:Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting outside plant infrastructure data;Walk‐out to neighbourhoods with tablets to collect GPS and other data for telephone poles;Work effectively outside in all weather conditions;Communicate with team members working in adjacent neighbourhoods;Exercise subjective decision making and problem solving;Work alongside a team lead and coach to help progress you through the job;Research and develop new processes and technology;Uphold and promote adherence to Training, Operating and Health & Safety Procedures;Other duties as requested by manager.We are looking for someone who:Is smart phone/tablet savvy and comfortable with using apps on iOS and Android platforms;A vehicle and class 5 drivers license would be beneficial, but not required (note: some locations can be accessed via transit or bike);Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite;Shows a willingness and desire to learn, collaborate, share knowledge and solve unique problems.About UsFounded in 2012, Encepta is a leader in cutting-edge outside plant solutions for telecommunications, utilities and municipalities across Canada.
