Job Description

Dental Assistant Instructor Needed Come and join our dynamic College and become an instructor in our Dental programDiscovery Community College has an instructing opportunity available for the right individual, to help guide our students through their Dental Assistant training. We have a immediate openings for various days/schedules - (in person/onsite) there #39;s sure to be something that suits your existing schedule.Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting the health care sector in BC.Wage range for this position would be $33 to $38 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.If you like instructing/mentoring you could have it all!

QUALIFICATIONSamp; EXPERIENCE:Applicants must have/be:
  • Certified dental assistant OR registered dental hygienist with the BCCOHP
  • 24 months occupational experience as a CDA or RDH
Other skills and attributes of benefit would include, but are not limited to:
  • Cleardent experience
  • Completion of/enrollment in the Provincial Instructor Diploma (PID) or relevant adult education certificate
  • Some Reception experience an asset
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Teams experience an asset)
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create an atmosphere of support and confidence for our students
