Job Description

Home Care Assistance is hiring for a support worker to start at a facility in Sutton. It is for one-to-one care for a single resident. 12-hour day and night shift are available. Starting wage is $22/hour. Monthly incentives are offered including full benefits for 30 hours per week, bonus program for perfect attendance and flexible schedule.We are reviewing applications daily and offering full-time and part-time hours, competitive wages and benefits to our full time with immediate start dates.Home Care Assistance, Barrie Simcoe County is a Staffing Solution CompanyYour typical day:

  • Assist with one-on-one support for elderly residents
  • Keep resident engaged and safe
  • Assist at mealtimes
  • All other tasks required by the care plan
  • A passion for the job in helping others
  • Companionship and friendship
  • Engage in ROM exercise and mobility activities. Example: going for walks, folding clothing together and exercise programs...
  • Connect with cognitive engagement to keep the client mentally stimulated. Example: puzzles, games, skill building and social engagement...
Must haves:
  • Must be mentally strong and able to handle behaviors and dementia
  • Access to reliable transportation G License and valid insurance (is an asset)
  • Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Proof of valid Covid19 vaccines
  • Italian speaking is an asset
