This is an opportunity to drive change in collaboration with senior leaders at UNSW.The role will report to the Director, Financial Controlamp; Compliance to develop a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges resulting from current policies, procedures, practices and deliver and actionable roadmap and framework for future processes. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and delivery of the University’s Financial Control Framework
  • Provide expert advice on policies, guidelines, procedures
  • Present and delivery improvement opportunities through actionable roadmaps and a reporting.
  • Foster collaborative and productive working relationships providing expert advice.
  • Liaise closely with the Finance System team and other Senior Finance Leaders in Peoplesoft enhancement projects by optimising process efficiency and key controls.
  • Lead a chart of accounts review including re-design of financial processes in support of critical reporting requirements for the Group
  • Manage the UNSW Financial Control Framework reporting for assigned stream, including budget and timeline guidance, and risk management.
Who You Are:
  • Tertiary qualification and CA or CPA Qualification
  • Experience managing multi-faceted corporate finance functions in a large organisation
  • Significant senior management experience leading complex projects
  • Extensive knowledge of legislative and statutory reporting and other requirements
  • Experience interpreting and applying policy and guidelines
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Critical attention to detail and ability to deliver results in line with required deadlines
  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service and developing outcomes
