PRT has capacity to grow and sell more than 335 million baby trees annually, across its 19 nursery locations, in 4 provinces and 4 states.Job DescriptionPRT Growing Services Ltd. is the largest producer of container grown seedlings in North America.Join us in growing forests for future generations!PRT is currently recruiting seasonal Nursery Workers to assist with seedling thinning. (Check out this link to see a video on seedling thinning) This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world.QualificationsWhat a position with PRT offers:

  • Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the “green” nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America
  • We provide a supportive team structured environment with a strong safety culture
  • Hourly rates start at $17.00 for the training period, compensation then transfers to piece work with greater earning potential
  • Work is available NOW with an opportunity to join other projects
  • No experience required; full training provided
Additional InformationWhat you need for a position with PRT:
  • Energetic with attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Work is meticulous and requires good eyesight and manual dexterity
  • You will stand for lengthy periods of time, walking, repetitive lifting, (light to medium weight objects), and perform repetitive movements
  • Mostly indoor greenhouse work
  • Appropriate attire required
  • Reliable transportation is essential
