Job Description

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT POSITION.This position is responsible for managing all documentation related to inbound and outbound shipments. Creates and manages shipping notices, bills of lading, orders and other records to determine logistics priorities required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

  • Notifies branches of upcoming shipments and alerts to any deviations to already scheduled shipments
  • Notifies Plant Manager of completed shipments and/or pick-ups
  • Investigates/follows-up late or missed shipments and all custom requests
  • Responsible for inter company shuttle driver dispatch
  • Manages daily pick ups and tracking of shipments as necessary
  • Manages all required customs paperwork for outbound shipments related to branch orders
  • Verifies items received by comparing the purchase order and the packing list/invoice
  • Review of daily inventory in collaboration with Plant Manager
  • Manages shipping/logistics report in collaboration with Plant Manager
  • Ensures products are packaged and shipped per Branch / Customer requirements.
  • Recommend changes in standards, work methods, and procedures to improve performance, productivity, profitability, and safety.
  • Ensure safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3 to 5 years of logistics experience.
  • Two years of manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Possess the energy and drive to meet deadlines, accomplish goals and find solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills where output data is actionable and accurate.
  • Excellent problem solving, follow up and attention to detail abilities.
