Handles purchase requisitions / purchase orders and other purchasing duties. Resolves problems and secures best price and maintains price lists. Monitors inventory, prepares reports, researches, identifies and seeks potential suppliers for new sources of products and services. Supervision of Stockroom Attendant, Central Receiver and Maintenance Administrator.Main Responsibilities:Manage procurement activities including RFQ’s seeking 3 competitive quotes whenever possible. Evaluates quotations for best price/options and negotiates best price.Issue purchase requisitions / purchase orders as required for materials, goods and services and keeps abreast of product information and ensure items/ services are expensed to correct account codes.Market test services / items seeking alternative competitive sourcesWork in partnership with the Corporate Purchasing Team to provide yearly data of usage / requirements for various seasonal market test for Global Bids.Provide Corporate with inventory counts & future projections of PPE requirements for Global Purchases to ensure the and safety of all employees in the pandemic.Interacts with the suppliers on a day to day basis. Schedules supplier meetings as required for price issues / service levels when required and sourcing of new itemsApprove invoices on a daily basis and resolve outstanding issues with Suppliers / Corporate Finance Team not to delay supplier paymentReview deliveries against orders received. Manage short shipped, over shipped and damaged goods. Run past due reports for open items and send to suppliers for resolutionEnsure weekly EAM inventory report is reviewed, count completed and updated with explanation of variancesSchedule contractors as required for onsite serviceSchedule carriers for LTL and expedite orders.Review weekly supply matrix of Freezer Plant / Labelling Operational supplies and issues purchase orders as requiredSchedules Bin hauls to Seacliff for recycling programs and arranges / negotiates pricing for pickup / disposal of recyclable materials when required ( Rice bags, Plastic Drums, Plastic Bales)Records data and maintains Recycling MatrixManage Employee Linen Rentals, advising of employee changes, review and approving of invoices and resolving unjustified charges.Adhere to Health and Safety, Quality and Legal requirements.Qualifications:College or University degree requiredPurchasing certification considered an assetProcurement ExpertiseStrong Negotiations SkillsExperience using EAM and Coupa considered as assetAbility to Multi-taskTime Management skillsDecision Making SkillsGood Numeracy SkillsAnalytical ThinkerAt Bonduelle, diversity is a treasure that we nurture!We inspire the transition toward a plant-based diet to contribute to people’s well-being and planet health.
