The successful candidate will be tasked with giving relief to the various positions and ensuring all team members are working safe on a daily basis. This position will run from approximately June-October.Main Responsibilities:Coordinating and training all shifts toward the common goalsAchieving daily production targets while adhering to strict quality specificationsExamining and making recommendations on how to improve key processesKnow at all times what is being produced and for which consumerEvaluate staffing requirements frequently during the shift and communicate with the Production SupervisorComplete all required paperwork and documentation as assigned without exceptionParticipate in the employee orientation program and ensure that each staff member is properly trained to perform his/her assigned job dutiesTake ownership and responsibility for the safety of each staff memberMonitor employee performance and provide feedback for improvement. Carry out disciplinary action as necessary.Perform preventative maintenance inspection on a weekly/daily basis on all warehouse machinery.Ensure all log sheets are completed properly and on timeOperates a Forklift to aid in the transition of goods in and out of the warehouse 1Qualifications:Must be be mechanically inclinedLicensed Forklift OperatorDemonstrate leadership capabilitiesDemonstrate positive attitude at all timesHave good organizational skillsMust have the ability to make quick, accurate decisions. (Right Decision, Right Now)Be technically trained/ trainable in all aspects of our plant equipment and systemsUnderstand productivity and efficiency indicators and their impactUnderstand and apply quality systems.
