At Flin Flon, Manitoba #39;s Northern Lights Manor, there is an immediate opening for an Infection Control Support Associate. This full-time, permanent position will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities for professional development through education support
  • Assist in enhancing the Clinical Infection and Prevention Control program

  • Achieve work life balance with a Monday to Friday day shift and 20 vacation days accrued in the first year, plus 2 additional travel days.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with focus in direct clinical care, microbiology, epidemiology or public health.
  • Completion of an IPAC Canada endorsed Infection Prevention and Control Course (or willingness to complete within one (1) year of commencing employment)
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain membership with IPAC Canada required as a condition of employment
  • Certification in Infection Control from Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Incorporated an asset
  • Valid Manitoba Class V Driver’s License, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel the regionyear-round.
  • Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IP amp;C competencies
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of relevant computer software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to function effectively in a self-directed, independent manner with limited supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize, interpret and respond appropriately to multiple concurrent activities
