Job Description

Water Treatment Plant Operator Employer: Town of Lynn Lake Location: Lynn Lake, MB Application Deadline: TBD The Town of Lynn Lake is accepting applications for the position of Water Treatment Plant Operator. Under the direction and supervision of the Public Works Foreman, the WTP Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the water treatment plant and water and wastewater utilities in the Town of Lynn Lake.The Town of Lynn Lake is offering a comprehensive benefits package and wages as per stipulated in the union contract. The full job description is available upon request.We’re looking for someone with these skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or relevant post-secondary education in civil engineering technology.
  • Completion or interest in Level 2 Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Program
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and distribution
  • Knowledge of water plant operations and distribution systems
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret current water and wastewater regulations, contracts, by-laws, and policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and with a team
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
