Job Description

Bruno #39;s Contracting (Thunder Bay) Limited is a heavy civil construction group with over forty years #39; experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving, materials production and demolition.We are currently welcoming applications for a full-time Junior Estimator/Project Manager capable of fulfilling the following requirements:JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, project documents, and site conditions to prepare quantity and scope takeoffs for projects of small to medium scale.
  • Assembling relevant takeoffs into detailed project estimates for bidding purposes.
  • Daily scheduling of resources and field supervision of construction activities to ensure projects are completed within budget and in accordance with relevant specifications.
  • Ensure all work is being completed in a productive and safe manner.
  • Daily production and cost reporting to direct supervisors and senior management, as required.
  • Various other coordination and management functions, as necessary.
SKILLSamp; OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of heavy civil construction operations and processes is strongly preferred.
  • An ambitious individual with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Must demonstrate effective organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive work attitude with an overall eagerness to learn.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license.
EDUCATION:
  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering is preferred, but not a requirement.
