Job Description

Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation4 Junior Guardians PostingThe Education Department in collaboration with Pacific Rim National Parks Reserve will hirefour Junior Guardians. This will be a term position for individuals to provide visitorinformation, community liaison, and Dune Restoration, and resident killer whale assessment.These positions will worker under supervision of Tla-o-qui-aht Education Manager. JuniorGuardians will gain practical work skills and experience within the Tla-o-qui-aht whileworking with alongside Tribal Park Guardian and Parks Canada.

  • MUST have a social insurance number
  • Student must be physical fit, and able to hike; slopes, hills, rocks, beaches, & trails, and
do physical labour
  • Be comfortable working with the public and co-workers
  • Have good verbal and written skills
  • Must have a reliable ride to and from work at Esowista
  • 2 employees at 4 days a week, and 2 employees at 3 days a week
  • Must be willing to work in shifts four days, and three days in groups of two.
WORK TERM: to begin as soon as possible, the position The Tla-o-qui-aht Summer studentswill be a six (8) week term position, ending November 30, 2020.
