We are so thrilled to have been named a 2021 AAA/CAA Best of Housekeeping hotel.Yes, the bulk of the work in most Housekeeping Departments is cleaning; let’s not gloss over the fact that Room Attendants clean toilets, sinks, showers, make beds, vacuum kilometres of carpet each day and fold mountains of laundry. The department prides itself on setting the stage for guests; one day you could be helping set a room up for a surprise birthday with balloons and twinkle lights and the next day tasked to ensure that a guest’s special pillow is in the room prior to their arrival. You are not a back of house employee, you are front and center!Laundry Attendants are responsible for operating industrial wash & dry machines, laundering and folding guest room, spa, restaurant, and banquet linen and terry, as well as employee uniforms and other items as required. Laundry Attendants work from 7:00am to 3:30pm or 3:00pm to 11:30pm rotational shift work.Team member benefits: https://www.wickinn.com/about-employment/Objectives:

• Be the primary contact for the Housekeeping Department and handle all incoming telephone calls, outgoing pages and the logging of pertinent information as required.
• Be one of the front line contacts for guests requiring Housekeeping assistance, committed to ensuring the guests’ Wickaninnish Inn experience exceeds their expectations.
• Act as the receiver for the Wickaninnish Inn and verify all incoming deliveries, log information and communicate with the appropriate departments.
• Participate in regular inventories, fabric care and repair and general laundry room cleaning
• Some duties may change due to COVID-19 operating regulations/standards.

Wages may be increased due to annual salary reviews, provincial minimum wage changes or at the employer’s discretion.Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must possess the desire to be part of a world-class Housekeeping/Guest Service Team.
• Exemplary guest service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and creative problem solving skills are necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills are needed. Full command of the English language is required.
• Ability to maintain all COVID-19 operating regulations/standards.
• Must enjoy working evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in a full service hotel an asset.
• As a term of employment, all team members must have a minimum of one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and if not fully vaccinated, be committed to receiving their second dose within 6 weeks of being hired. Proof of vaccination is required.

• Salary/Wage: $19 per hour
