From meeting our front line to the guiding staff, we all strive to make the best possible situation for guests to connect with the wilds of Clayoquot Sound.Our Marine Adventure Centre hosts involve the guests in their experience. They set the expectation for the wildlife interaction, the marine voyage and what participants will connect to when they are out on the water. Making this connection takes effort, organization, planning, presentation and overseeing all aspects of a guest’s time with us.What you do at work

• Make our guest’s day the best possible.

• Ensure all staff work as a team to get the job done.

• Communicate well with staff and guests.

• Introduce our experience to visitors inquiring about our programs.

• Make and maintain reservations.

• Handle and explain safety equipment.

• Host guests before and after activities.

• Follow safety procedures and track groups/vessels by radio.

• Maintain marine base and work area.

• Sale and tracking of retail.

• Cash balancing and accounting.

Where you liveFor successful applicants that require accommodations housing may be available. Our staff accommodation is a home which is fully furnished and outfitted. It is three blocks from our base so you get to go home at the end of the day. It is close to shops and grocery stores so an easy walk to pick up food or go for a coffee with friends.Job Requirements/Qualifications:Skills you bring with you

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to engage with customers.

• Efficiency and time management ability.

• Able to plan, organize and track events and schedules.

• Present in a professional manner.

• Prioritize, manage and complete tasks.

• Understanding of computer reservation software and intricate in-house systems.

• Salary/Wage: $16.60 - $17.60 per hr
