Job Description

Job Details:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our client #39;s Community Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario. As a valued member of our physician team, you will work in a solo practice setting, providing expert cardiac consultation services and interpreting cardiac imaging studies for referred patients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive cardiac consultation services for new patients and follow-ups
  • Interpret cardiac imaging studies, including:
    • Echo
    • Stress Echo
    • Holter
    • ECG
    • ABPM
    • Other cardiac imaging modalities
  • Work collaboratively with our team of physicians and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participate in occasional Saturday shifts, with no on-call requirements
Work Schedule:
  • Hours of work: 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Occasional Saturdays
Practice Details:
  • Our client has three locations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with the main location featuring:
    • 7 physician offices
    • 5 echo rooms
    • Nuclear imaging
    • 3 stress areas
    • Full administrative staff complement
  • The catchment area includes east Toronto (Scarborough) and the Durham region (Ajax/Pickering), serving varied demographics
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • Specialist training from recognized institutions in:
    • Australia
    • Canada
    • USA
    • United Kingdom
    • Hong Kong
    • Ireland
    • New Zealand
    • Singapore
    • South Africa
    • Switzerland
Compensation:
  • Fee-for-service payment structure
  • Split arrangement: 80/20, covering all administrative and IT costs
  • No additional costs to the physician
  • Potential annual earnings: $500,000-$800,000
  • Additional incentives available for discussion with interested physicians
Support:
  • Long-term support available for International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
  • Billing support provided
  • Oscar EMR and Philips Xcelera/ISCV for cardiac imaging reporting
