Job Description

Job DescriptionOntario Transit Group (OTG) is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee critical infrastructure projects as part of the Ontario Line South initiative. Reporting to the Station Manager/Deputy Station Manager, the Civil Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil construction projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects within the Ontario Line South initiative
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and subcontractors, to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Monitor and assess project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work, address issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Foster a culture of safety and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and records of communications.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in civil construction.
