Turning Point’s mission is to empower youth to make positive change, an to accomplish this, it offers a continuum of services for youth and their families with a focus on mental health, housing/sheltering, and youth justice. Turning Point Youth Services and WoodGreen Community Services announced on July 2, 2024 the integration of the two organizations. The combination of these two agencies will enable a more effective and integrated approach to the provision of comprehensive support services for youth in the GTA. This specialized position offers participating students, who are current clients of the Agency or community clients, the opportunity to learn in a safe, structured environment that includes therapeutic care and support.The eventual goal is to further academic progress.The Education Worker provides direct, quality care to the students, assists in the classroom and liaises with schoolboard staff, and other external agency staff.The staff filling this position must have the ability to assist children and youth with their academic needs.Where needed, the Education Worker will be required to transport youth to and from the live-in program.The Education Worker will be required to work shift work during school holiday periods in the live-in program.What You Will Do
