Job Description

Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.Reporting to the Project Manager the responsibilities of the Field/Project Coordinator include:

  • Read technical and administrative project specifications;
  • Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
  • Inform Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with site management;
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent;
  • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
  • Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress and issues;
  • Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI’s, NCR, etc.;
  • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
  • Organize and participate in various meetings;
  • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
  • Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar, or a combination of technical training and/or related experience;
  • 2-5 years of industry experience;
  • Experience in contracting industry (heavy civil preferred);
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings;
  • Experience with scheduling and planning site activities;
  • Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Cost analysis, control, and reporting;
  • Contracts – Commercial knowledge;
  • Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.
