Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer, based out of Toronto, ON or Edmonton, AB or Calgary AB, or Saskatoon, SK, to join our project team executing a Potash mining project Saskatchewan. As a Mechanical Engineer working in an Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) within the Owner’s team, you will ensure that engineering deliverables are developed, aligned, and executed per the project specifications. While the preference is for this position to be based in the project office in Saskatoon, we can accommodate this position to be based in other project and Bantrel offices located in Bethune (SK), Calgary (AB), Edmonton (AB), and Toronto (ON). Join us in this full time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.In this full-time permanent role, you will be supporting the Project Mechanical Lead.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities include:

  • Review and prepare mechanical engineering deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, material requisitions, etc.
  • Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel across other engineering disciplines as required
  • Prepare letters / correspondence with vendors and contractors
  • Review design documents from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors, and prepare comments and recommendations accordingly
  • Participate in Engineering design reviews of mechanical systems
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project
  • Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data by other engineers / specialists or by suppliers
  • Familiar with engineering department procedures and their application to projects
  • Knowledge of design standards and guides applicable to the discipline
