**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies tailored for various clients.- Prepare written reports as needed for assignments pertaining to tax compliance, consulting, objections, or appeals.- Contribute to tax mergers and acquisitions assignments, including conducting due diligence, structuring acquisitions, and planning for business sales.- Handle tax compliance by reviewing personal, corporate, and trust tax returns.- Research complex tax issues and draft memoranda to address findings for privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. - Engage in discussions and correspondence with various tax authorities to clarify clients #39; positions and understand reasons for assessed amounts.- Stay up-to-date with tax codes, regulations, and other essential technical information to ensure a thorough understanding.- Plan, consult on, and implement tax reorganizations and estate plans.- Create and execute post-mortem tax planning strategies.- Collaborate with partners, clients, and client counsel to develop and implement effective tax and estate planning strategies.- Serve as a technical resource for staff, providing guidance and suggestions to resolve technical issues.- Utilize staff effectively to meet client deliverables on time and within budget.- Mentor and coach professional staff throughout the year, offering support and development opportunities to further their careers. - Write external publications, blog posts, and various memoranda.- Participate in firm promotion events to boost awareness of the firm and its services in the market.- Exhibit complete knowledge of Crowe Soberman’s code of conduct and operational policies.**Qualifications:** - Exceptional technical skills with keen attention to detail, balanced by an ability to grasp overarching concepts.- Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service.- Strong interpersonal skills paired with a willingness to learn and adapt.- Proven leadership abilities, along with organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Able to contribute positively to a team environment while also excelling independently when needed.**Education and/or Experience:**University degree. - Completion of an In-Depth Tax Program or a Master’s in Taxation.- Minimum of 6 years of practical experience in public practice, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.- Proficient in Caseware and Caseview.- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.- Experience with tax applications such as Taxprep, CCH Intelliconnect, Taxnet Pro, and Tax Find.**Key Competencies:**- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.- Positive attitude and adaptable mindset.- Innovative problem solver with a strong sense of ethics and professional judgment.- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities.- Committed to providing superior client service.Powered by JazzHR
