Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Software Engineer to join Procore’s Productamp; Technology Team.   • Build and maintain robust, scalable software systems that support machine learning workflows based on Python/Java
  • Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and designers to turn research prototypes into production-ready applications and services.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate machine learning models into user-facing features or internal platforms.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices in software engineering and contribute to code reviews and team design discussions.
  • Support deployment and monitoring of ML services in production, ensuring reliability, performance, and observability.
  • Build AI Agents that automate parts of the workflow improving productivity for Construction Pros.
What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience with Python and Java, including experience with backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Express).
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows, and experience collaborating with ML practitioners to bring models into production.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, developing microservices, and integrating with internal and external data systems.
  • Proficient in Docker and deploying applications in Kubernetes environments, including basic Helm chart usage.
  • Solid understanding of software development practices, including Git, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with experience in deploying containerized applications or using managed ML services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ML orchestration tools such as Ray, Airflow, or similar, especially for supporting large-scale model training or inference workflows.
  • Familiarity in working with LLM APIs/tools and prompt engineering
  • Interest in data tooling, model observability, or performance monitoring for ML services.
