We are located in Turtleford, SK.The position is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, results oriented individual. We are committed to supporting healthy growth for our communities, sustainability of our lake areas while encouraging opportunity for economic development.As a Municipal Planner, your role is to assist with a variety of functions, depending on the need. This will include duties such as assisting with the following:- upholding Zoning Bylaws,- adhering to Official Community Plans,- advising council on land use and development planning,- subdivision applications,-zoning amendments,-servicing agreements and development permit applicationsThis position will work closely with local developers and the Community Planning Branch of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs; the subdivision approving authority for the Municipalities. This includes working with the public, staff and regulatory bodies to ensure consistent and timely communication. Develop strategies to promote community development and efficient land use consistent with community goals. This includes development of new policies and bylaw regulations related to land use, as well as statutory and non-statutory plans and other Municipal Planning documents.Interested applicants should have the following:
