Job Description

The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for maintaining all NWT Housing Corporation owned and operated buildings and works in the community of Ulukhaktok. They work within the maintenance management program and perform all assigned duties as assigned by the Manager of the Ulukhaktok Housing Association in accordance with the job description.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Trades Certificate or diploma

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must provide Driving Record Check (Abstract), Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Housing Maintainer Certificate
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience
  • Ability to supervise 3-4 people
Specific SkillsSupervise workers and projects, train and/or arrange for training, Co-ordinate and schedule activities, Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, Recommend personnel actions, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units, resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity.Salary and benefits to be determined based on qualifications. Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
