We’re hiring a Meat Supervisor for our Uxbridge location. As meat supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the highest standards for our products and service.Here’s how you’ll do it:You’ll motivate the employees that you work with. Using your positive outlook and people skills, you’ll learn about the meat staff. You’ll discover what drives them, what they need in a work environment, and how to bring out the very best in them each day.You’ll keep the lines of communication open. Staff will understand exactly what is expected of them, and you’ll use praise and constructive criticism wisely, as their performance requires.You’ll make sure the department meets its sales and profitability targets. You’ll take the time to understand the details and trends, and use that knowledge to create processes that will lead your team to meet those targets.More specifically, you will:Promote and increase sales through merchandising techniquesMaintain proper inventory levelsMonitor best before dates and minimize wasteProvide positive in-store experiences for customersMake sure that food safety and workplace safety standards are metMonitor local competitors and react to market conditionsWork is performed in a standard cutting room environment with participation in meetingsTravel to stores and warehouse locations requiredMaintain open lines of communication with Category Manager and Director of OperationsThis full-time position will provide approximately 40 – 44 hours per week. The hourly pay rate will be commensurate with experience and guided by our standardized and transparent compensation scale.
