Job Description

In 1983, Choko Motorsports was established and began manufacturing snowmobile clothing. The demand for quality Choko product quickly grew and today, we are designing, manufacturing, and distributing apparel and accessories for the agriculture and automotive industries. We are proud of our roots and to be privately Canadian owned and operated.We are a team of creative, passionate, and entrepreneurial minds and are looking for a creative Product Development Assistant to join our team!As Product Development Assistant, you will be a key liaison communicating with our automotive and agricultural licensees ensuring brand guidelines are followed with your keen eye for detail. Your day-to-day will include communicating externally with our factories and suppliers, negotiating costing and sourcing new product ideas.Responsibilities:

  • Professionally communicate with local and overseas vendors to ensure standards are met within the timeline and scheduled deadlines for each season
  • Negotiate costing, delivery, and terms with vendors for ball caps and accessories
  • Generate new part numbers for garments in Excel spreadsheets
  • Research and source new ideas for product lines
  • Liaison with licensees to manage and track approvals
  • Prepare to participate in creative meetings and offer input to build exceptional products
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education, education in fashion or garment construction would be considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, photo editing and photography skills are an asset
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adhere to deadlines
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to work overtime occasionally as business needs
