Job Description

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a part-time Teaching position (0.50 FTE) at Harry Gray Elementary School, Valleyview, Alberta. Successful candidate responsibilities :

  • Elementary Generalist
Classroom Practice :
  • Implement responsive instruction to ensure student engagement and understanding.
  • Enhance students #39; literacy and numeracy skills by fostering natural curiosity and eagerness to learn through structured activities and purposeful play.
  • Utilize a variety of technologies to support learning for all students.
  • Apply assessment for and of learning to support students #39; growth and achievement.
  • Adhere to the domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Environment (QLE)
  • Promote diversity and broaden students #39; knowledge of First Nation, Metis and Inuit foundational knowledge.
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships and communication with parents.
  • Exhibit effective organizational and classroom management skills.
S chool P ractice:
  • Collaborate with school administration to support the School Action Plan.
  • Commit to student achievement and success through the Collaborative Team Meeting (CTM) process.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Start Date:
  • Duties will commence August 28, 2024
