Job Description

Job Summary:Working closely with senior space planners and project teams, you will contribute to the development of functional and efficient spatial solutions for various institutional projects.This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in space planning and contribute to meaningful projects in the healthcare sector.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior space planners and project teams to develop space planning strategies for institutional projects, with a focus on healthcare facilities like hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
  • Assist in conducting space assessments, analyzing utilization, and identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Support the creation of conceptual space plans, including room layouts, adjacency diagrams, and functional diagrams, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.
  • Utilize software tools and technologies to assist in creating 2D and 3D visualizations, renderings, and walkthroughs to communicate spatial concepts effectively.
  • Contribute to space utilization studies, gather data, and assist in analyzing the information to provide recommendations for space optimization, furniture layouts, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate functional and aesthetic considerations into space planning solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed space planning documents, including occupancy plans, furniture plans, and finish schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and emerging best practices related to institutional and healthcare space planning.
  • Support project teams in managing and organizing space planning documentation, including drawing revisions, specifications, and project records.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in space planning, with a particular focus on institutional projects, including healthcare facilities.
  • Familiarity with design guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices is desirable.
  • Proficiency in space planning software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other related software.
  • Basic understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and life safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to functional spatial solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies quickly.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainable design practices and a willingness to learn more about them.
