Job Description

About our client: A leading full-service law firm, with diverse clientele, that is committed to providing prompt and practical service through a hands-on approach in a team-oriented environment. Their lawyers and staff are team oriented and have a collegial work environment.Position: Family Lawyer (minimum of 8+ years of experience, book of business NOT required)Locations: Vancouver - hybridResponsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law proceedings, including trials and hearings
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of legal documents
  • Identify and analyze a variety of legal issues and have the ability to distill large volumes of information into focused and simplified language to effectively advocate on behalf of your client
  • Conduct legal research and analysis and provide legal advice and direction based on your findings
  • Strong dedication to providing exceptional client service
  • Ability to manage a full caseload from initiation to resolution
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
  • 8+ years of experience in family law
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong litigation skills and drafting skills
  • A strong ability to prioritize competing demands and the ability to work under pressure
  • Empathy, integrity, and a client-focused approach
