Job Description

Job Summary:The Interior Design Student will have the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of interior design, specifically in the context of healthcare facilities.This position will provide exposure to various aspects of interior design projects and the opportunity to work with experienced design professionals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interior designers and design teams on various healthcare architecture projects.
  • Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and material selections for interior spaces.
  • Participate in space planning exercises and layout development for healthcare environments.
  • Contribute to the preparation of interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and details.
  • Support the selection and sourcing of interior finishes, furniture, lighting, and other design elements.
  • Assist in conducting research on design trends, healthcare design principles, and best practices.
  • Participate in design meetings and presentations with clients and project teams.
  • Help with the organization and maintenance of design materials and project documentation.
  • Observe and learn from experienced design professionals in various stages of project development.
  • Embrace learning opportunities and engage in professional development activities.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions to design challenges.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the interior design team.
Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor #39;s or Master #39;s degree program in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Strong passion for interior design, architecture, and the healthcare sector.
  • Basic knowledge of design principles, space planning, and material selections.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a design team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in design tasks.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude in embracing new challenges.
  • Availability to commit to the duration of the internship or co-op program.
