Job Posting: BTA 2504 Title: IT and e-Learning Designer Compensation: TBDClient: Brighter Training AcademyAbout Brighter Training Academy: Brighter Training Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality trade-related education and resources to Canadian foreign workers. Our mission is to bridge the skills gap by offering comprehensive training materials and support to help individuals prepare for their Red Seal Certification exams across various trades in Canada.We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled ITamp; E-Learning Designer to help develop and manage an innovative online learning platform tailored to foreign workers preparing for Red Seal Certification exams. This position will play a critical role in the creation and delivery of high-quality, accessible, and engaging learning experiences.Job Overview: As an ITamp; E-Learning Designer at Brighter Training Academy, you will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of online learning modules and resources across a range of trades. You will work closely with subject matter experts to design interactive, user-friendly, and effective courses and resources for foreign workers who aim to achieve their Red Seal certification in Canada.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-learning design and development, proficiency in IT systems and platforms, and a passion for supporting learners in the trades industry.Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Development: Build and maintain an intuitive, scalable online learning platform that caters to the needs of foreign workers preparing for Red Seal exams in various trades.
  • Course Design: Collaborate with industry experts to design and develop online courses, including instructional content, multimedia resources, quizzes, and assessments that are engaging and aligned with Red Seal Certification standards.
  • E-Learning Content Creation: Create high-quality learning materials such as video tutorials, interactive simulations, workbooks, and study guides to enhance the learning experience.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Management: Manage and maintain the LMS, ensuring courses and materials are accessible and functioning properly for all users. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed.
  • User Experience: Focus on creating an easy-to-navigate, user-centered learning platform that promotes engagement and supports learners at various stages of their certification preparation.
  • Resource Development: Design additional resources, including practice exams, flashcards, and other study tools, to help learners prepare for the Red Seal Certification exams.
  • Collaborationamp; Feedback: Work closely with instructors, subject matter experts, and learners to gather feedback, assess learning effectiveness, and improve course materials and platform features over time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest e-learning trends, technologies, and tools, ensuring the platform and course materials remain cutting-edge and effective.
Required Qualifications:
  • Educationamp; Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Information Technology, E-Learning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing online learning courses and resources.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard.
  • Familiarity with the trades industry and/or Red Seal Certification is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong IT skills, including web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with e-learning authoring tools.
  • Knowledge of multimedia production (video, audio editing, graphics) is an asset.
