Job Description

Location: Vancouver, BC (Remote) Position: Software Engineer InternSalary: $20-22 per hour About the Role Ace1 Media is looking for a passionate and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our development team. This is a hands-on internship where youll gain real-world experience working on high-traffic web applications that support digital content and advertising delivery. Youll be mentored by our Lead Developer/CTO and contribute to meaningful technical projects that support business growth. What Youll Do

  • Assist in developing and maintaining full-stack web applications
  • Help implement new features based on design and product requirements
  • Support performance optimization for user experience, SEO, and ad delivery
  • Learn how to integrate APIs (e.g., Google Ads, analytics, etc.)
  • Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning
  • Help monitor application performance and report bugs
What Were Looking For
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Some experience (academic, personal projects, or previous internships) with full-stack development
  • Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:
    • JavaScript/TypeScript
    • React, Node.js
    • Next.js
    • PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • A basic understanding of version control tools like Git
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work in a remote team environment
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • Interest in SEO, web performance, or digital advertising
  • Familiarity with tools like Playwright for testing
  • Exposure to media processing tools like FFMPEG
  • Curiosity about analytics, Google Ads, or content monetization
