Job Description

Job Title: Lead Manual QA Engineer Location: Remote (Canada) -Candidate must reside in Canada Duration: 2+ monthsClient Domain Product based company - HRMS (Human Resource Management System) applications focused on SaaS-based HRMS applications that assist public sector organizationsAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Manual QA Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of the QA process for our digital products, leading the manual testing efforts across multiple projects. You #39;ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software in an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the manual QA efforts across multiple products and releases.
  • Define, document, and implement QA best practices, standards, and processes.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team skill development.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to identify candidates for test automation.
  • Provide test effort estimations and contribute to sprint planning sessions.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in manual software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency in test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks is a plus.
