Job Description

The Care Group is a Vancouver based, family owned and operated care provider. We own and operate 9 care homes including: Point Grey Private Hospital, Braddan Private Hospital, The Oxford Senior Living + Care, The Mayfair Senior Living + Care, Lakeshore Care Center, The Madison, Sidney Care and Heritage Place, Casa Mia. We work as partners in care with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Fraser Health Authority and Vancouver Island Health Authority, providing government subsidized residential care facilities to seniors.We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join our Casa Mia Care team in Vancouver, B.C shifts: 2 days a weekAs a physiotherapist with The Care Group you will:

  • Provide physiotherapy services to enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes, promote independence and improve comfort.
  • Perform regular assessments on resident’s physical status, mobility and goals including but RAI-MDS, care plans, transfer and mobility assessments.
  • Participate in regular in-service training and continuing education that align with Vancouver Coastal and The Care Group
  • Contribute to the delivery of physiotherapy service at the facility by participating in quality improvement initiatives, meetings, conducting research, conducting in-services as well as other related education such as sling selection.
Qualifications:
  • You’re a member with full registration with of the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia
  • You have 2-5 years of clinical experience
  • You are passionate about dementia and elder care
  • You believe in continuing education to further your practice
  • You work well in a team and believe in an interdisciplinary approach to person centered care
About us: Casa Mia Care opened in June 2023. This heritage home offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Many with expansive views over the Fraser River. Casa Mia is a storied 1930’s mansion boasting views of gorgeous grounds, the Fraser River, Georgia Straight, and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Casa Mia works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority to offer funded beds but also has 32 private pay rooms available.#chsjPowered by JazzHR
