Job Description

Now Hiring: Prep Cook Location: Cherish at Central Park – Langford, BC Job Type: Full-Time Cherish at Central Park is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team in preparing fresh, from-scratch meals for our senior residents. This role is key to ensuring smooth meal service by handling prep work for lunch and dinner. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for lunch and dinner service, including proteins, salads, and desserts.
  • Assist with sandwich prep and stock resident fridge.
  • Plate meals with accuracy and care alongside servers and chefs.
  • Receive and store food deliveries.
  • Follow all food safety and cleaning protocols, including daily deep-cleaning tasks.
  • Assist with advance prep for next day’s meals.
Requirements:
  • 1–2 years kitchen or prep cook experience preferred.
  • Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Organized, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • English Fluency, written and oral required.
