This customer-facing role has the crucial responsibility of making our passengers feel safe and secure as they travel from coast to coast.The Day to Day:· Ensure the safety and security of ferry terminals (Swartz Bay) and onboard vessels· Act as a visible security presence and deterrent to support a safe environment· Engage with the public to provide assistance, direction, and exceptional customer service· Perform security procedures including unlock/lock-up checks and routine inspections· Operate communication tools such as radios and escalate incidents as necessary· Identify, report, and help mitigate safety hazards· Support passenger safety and satisfaction during coast-to-coast travelWhat you bring:· BC Security License· Excellent communication skills· Comfortable with radio communication· Ability to write reports on job-related activities· Comfort working independently and in varying weather conditions· Punctuality and reliability· Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hoursAvailability:We offer a range of shifts and availabilities, including days and overnights, and offer· full-time,· part-time or· on-call employment opportunitiesWho we are:At Securiguard we believe in living and acting by our values: R.E.A.C.H.Respect · Empathy · Accountability · Courtesyamp; · HonestyWe #39;re in the business of making people feel safe.
