Job Description

Hotel Arts is seeking a dynamic Steward Supervisor with a passion for organization and leadership to take charge of our stewarding team. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting and have a keen eye for cleanliness and efficiency, we invite you to apply.Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Flexibility is key; availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Responsibilities:As a Steward Supervisor, you will:
  • Ensure immaculate cleanliness and organization in backspace areas, storage, and stewarding spaces.
  • Supervise stewards, maintaining productivity and ensuring appropriate breaks.
  • Oversee daily cleaning assignments and weekly duties for the stewarding team.
  • Assist in event setup and breakdown, including offsite equipment handling.
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance inspections for dish machines and address maintenance orders.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Management Team to set up backspace and kitchen on event days.
  • Manage inventories of glassware, china, silverware, chafing dishes, and kitchen cleaning supplies.
  • Monitor and adjust staff schedules according to business needs.
  • Adhere to Stewarding Standard Operating procedures and Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards for the workspace, loading dock area, and complex garbage.
Job Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 1-2 years of stewarding/dishwashing experience in a related hospitality setting.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50lbs continually during shifts.
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Safety-consciousness when handling potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and a solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
