Job Description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Yard Attendant/Delivery Driver to join our Home and Agro team on a full-time basis at our location in Wainwright, AB. Reporting to the Lumber Manager . This position will be eligible for benefits including a matching pension following required waiting periods.What you’ll do:

  • Work full - time hours (40 hours/ week) (Eligible for benefits after 3 months)
  • The focus of this position will be working in the yard at the Home Centre serving customers and assisting with all aspects of the yard duties
  • Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences
  • This position will also deliver and unload orders to customer locations in a timely manner
  • Receiving of products in the yard and in the store - including completing required paperwork
  • Operating a forklift
  • Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Able to work a variety of shifts – including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis
  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience; previous retail experience would be an asset
  • You have a valid class 3 driver’s license; a clean drivers abstract is required
  • You’re able to lift 50lb on a regular basis

  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
