We currently have an opening for a PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER at our Walkerton, ON facility, come grow with us!OVERVIEWReporting to the Material Management Supervisor, the PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER oversees all aspects of production orders (firming, releasing, scheduling, expedites, premiums, key customers), manages ERP system messages (holds, cancellations, actions), and communicates delivery issues to sales. This role also covers all necessary reporting related to materials management for our Walkerton facility.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Firming all new planned orders and material requirements daily
• Process and communicate any order cancellations, or orders placed on hold due to material shortages
• Process any expedites or premium order requests as required
• Review all master planning AX (ERP) actions daily, and release orders to production
• Review and process any production order material substitutions
• Communicate any material or date changes that impact purchase orders to purchasing team and production supervisors
• Review and process any new HCN’s issued to Walkerton BOM’s
• Process production order RAF (report as finished) transactions and errors
• Make necessary production BOM updates and back flush materials as required
• Review weekly “Errors” list and review all production order transactions for issues and process corrections
• Review daily all unposted production job journals and process necessary corrections
• Review and update reports such as: Open Orders, Key Customer Orders, Shipment, New Jobs, Completed Jobs and forecast Actual vs. Sales report
• Review the negative on-hand report and process necessary corrections weekly

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post secondary education in Materials Management OR equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a purchasing or production control position
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with AX Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus)
• Intermediate capability with computers/windows environment (ex. Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong level of problem solving, judgment and decision making skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
