Job Description

Position is for weekend shifts.Your Role:

  • Responsible to the Manager of Wellness Services for the delivery of life enriching activities to promote quality of life for all residents.
  • Responsible for maintaining an environment which promotes the health and well-being of the residents.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information related to residents and their families.
Your Talents and Experience:
  • Has experience working with seniors and a sound understanding and empathy for the needs of seniors and their families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly creative, works well under own initiative and displays sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, problem solve creatively and work within a multi- disciplinary team environment.
  • Formal education in recreation/re-motivation therapy from an accredited College or University.
  • Training in gerontology preferred.
  • Certified fitness instructor an asset.

  • At Lutherwood all salaries are categorized under a series of bands determined during our job evaluation process. When determining rate of pay for external hires, a candidates past related experience will be taken into consideration along with where others with similar experience currently fall within the band.
  • Note: most new team members will start at the starting salary.
  • Job Band E (hourly wages): Min - $22.04, Mid - $23.69, Max - $26.48
  • Elibigle for Lutherwoods Pension plan on a voluntary basis after 2 years
