You will find a collaborative and supportive environment in which career mobility is encouraged!Who are weThe Disability Appeals and Litigation teams are responsible for assessing and rending optimal appeal decisions and litigated resolution outcomes. The teams also provide quality and timely service to external and internal clients and stakeholders.What will you be doingYour duties and accountabilities will include the following:

  • Accountable for producing and analyzing reports in order to formulate recommendations and solutions
  • Create and maintain dashboards to provide key performance indicators and operating reports
  • Develop and maintain various data management platforms (SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, ServiceNow)
  • Accurately select and identify contracts, booklets and focus updates and validate insurance coverage
  • develop, Maintain and deliver PowerPoint presentations and graphs as needed
  • Support Brighter Way initiatives by assisting in the review and implementation of selected continuous improvement ideas
  • Assist with work assignment of Appeals and Litigations to staff
  • Contribute to quality management by investigating root causes and recommending ways to close gaps in knowledge or processes
  • Support the team’s calibration sessions to ensure consistency in the application of the measures and to ensure program objectives are met
  • Attend and participate in leadership meetings
  • Complete manual cheque requests and assist with expense management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required
What do you need to do to be successful in the role:
  • Proficient with the use of business analysis practices and tools (e.g., MS Excel including Pivot Tables, MS Visio and all Microsoft Office)
  • Proficient in the set-up and use of SharePoint and tableau dashboards and reporting
  • Strong research, analytical, attention to details and problem solving skills
  • Superior customer service skills through effective communication (written & oral)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, production environment including frequent changes in tasks depending on work volumes
  • Work well within a team but also independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience providing feedback to various stakeholders (peers, leaders, clients)
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn from others, be curious, and seize opportunities for growth
  • Grasps new concepts quickly and is able to explain them
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and make timely and sound decisions
  • Meet service levels for quality, quantity and timeliness (individual and team)

  • Bilingual (French & English) is an asset
  • Completion of a College Diploma or University degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience in Business Administration
  • Experience in an administrative or consultant role
  • Experience with Group Benefits Administration (GBA) is an asset
  • Six Sigma would be an asset
  • Experience in dealing directly with both internal and external business partners Clients, Advisors, GB Operations, Business Development, Market Development, etc.)Familiarity with Service Now or other service support, ticketing and task management applications
  • Experience in auditing, sampling and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of Organizational Effectiveness, Group Benefits(GB) and understanding of GB strategy
  • Knowledge of health information protection legislation (PHIPA) for the use and disclosure of medical information
Notes/Unique Requirements:
  • Looking for someone who can work Monday to Friday, up to 37.5 hours per week, and has flexibility to work periodic overtime if necessary for workload coverage
  • Must complete Reliability Screening under the Government of Canada Security Policy and be granted "Reliability Status" as a result of the screening
