Students will focus on legal issues related to mental health including NCRMD and fitness to stand trial procedures, provincial mental health legislation, risk assessment and management techniques, violence risk and victimization, dangerousness and stigma, and criminal justice policy. (Cross-listed as HS312 and PD312.)Qualifications – Required: Master’s DegreeQualifications – Discipline: MA in Criminology or a cognate discipline (e.g. Sociology/Psychology) with a focus on crime or deviance. Work experience in the filed is an asset, as is prior teaching experience.
