Worker Sub-Type:RegularCyber Security Specialist ISummaryThe Cyber Security team is responsible for the BlackBerry global information security program. We have responsibility for defining security policy, providing architectural approval on projects and programs, assessing risk and vulnerabilities, defining the roadmap and architecture for the deployment of appropriate security controls globally as well as operating a compliment of integrated enterprise security solutions. This is a junior role that will provide opportunities for individual growth and development.RESPONSIBILITIESAt the direction of the Manager, Cyber Security, Governance and Compliance, support senior auditors completing internal compliance audits against various industry standard frameworksComplete security assessments of third party (supplier, vendor, service provider) security programs against pre-defined criteriaAssist with evaluation of the adequacy of system design and internal control framework in meeting business, operational and control objectivesAssist in the evaluation and development of BlackBerry’s Information System Management System to meet business, operational and control objectivesIdentifies underlying causes of control weaknesses and provide practical recommendations for mitigationESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSBS or BA1 to 3 years of direct experience working in the Information Security industry conducting risk assessments and compliance auditsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFamiliar with security requirements and industry best practices, including but not limited to ISO 27001:2013, PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, SSAE reporting standardsProven ability to contribute independently with moderate assistance and guidanceADDITIONAL ASSETSAbility to work both independently as well as working with others in a team environmentExceptional skills in written and oral communicationA strong work ethic, and able to manage their time and activities efficientlyLI-NR1Job Family Group Name:Information TechnologyScheduled Weekly Hours:40Quick Apply
